Businiess name:  Chuck's Steak House

Review content:
The last time we dined at Chuck's, George Washington was seated at an adjoining table. Our motivation for dining this evening was an expiring discounted gift certificate. As we pulled into the parking lot, I was surprised at how packed it was. The restaurant is relatively small and we ended up being seated too close to the very small salad bar. I had noted on the menu that there were entirely too many seafood entrees listed as being ""fresh"" suggesting that their idea of fresh is most likely fresh frozen. I therefore decided to order either the small filet or crab cakes. Our server said the crab cakes were deep fried so I opted for the filet. I also sought his advice on which starch to order and ended up with the mashed potatoes. While we waited for our entrees to be prepared, we helped ourselves to the very mediocre salad bar. Our entrees arrived as we concluded our salads and I was a bit surprised at the portion size of both the steak and potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a very large portion and turned out to be the highlight of our meal. My steak, weighing in at something less than the stated 5-ounces, was perfectly cooked to medium rare, but had a streak of gristle and was also tough. We concluded our meal with a shared chocolate mousse that was relatively small for the price and not very memorable. There is nothing that will entice me to return.
