I love dim sum and will travel far search high and low for the best. 888 is below average tasting food with an extremely limited selection and variety. The pork buns are dry, the pork shumai are bland, the soups have no taste.
The worst part about 888 is the service. When I go to dimsum, I somehow expect that I would not be able to communicate well with the servers. It's almost a given. But when I went, it was not a busy day but I HAD TO FLAG DOWN EVERY SINGLE CART in order to for me get anything.
Dimsum carts are the SLOWEST, MOST INEFFICIENT I have ever experienced. A great part of good dimsum is a fast moving cart system.
I will never ever go back to this place and will make an extra effort to tell people not to go there when we discuss dimsum.
