Businiess name:  Thai Star Restaurant
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
I went to this restaurant based upon the positive reviews on here... on citysearch... foregoing others closer to my hotel. I am so sorry I did. I don't know where the previous reviewers have eaten Thai before, but if they think this is good, we're all in trouble. I've had sorry thai food before, but not so sorry that I didn't even finish it. My Tom Kha was made with standard american white mushrooms, which I could have handled if the broth wasn't water and milk with a splash of coconut. They gave me mediocre hot & sour instead of Tom Yum, which I had ordered. My massaman curry was bland, even though I had ordered it ""medium"" (three out of four chili peppers according to their scale) and contained what I assume are bamboo shoots, but had some kind of unidentifiable texture I've never experienced before. I had to stop eating it. The only thing I ended up somewhat enjoying was my chicken satay, which was certainly more than edible, but far from deserving accolades. What a waste of money. Sad, sad, sad.
