Review content:
I just received a call from my mother, and she was in tears. She had made arrangements for my daughter's Christening lunch at Trattoria Bella. In brief, the management there was deceptive, rude, and threatening. My mother spoke with the staff regarding this event, and expressly stated that she did not want the event held in their back room, which is dark and windowless. She was very clear that we would just reserve a room elsewhere if that was all that was available. We heard nothing from them until 2 days before our event, when we contacted them to confirm our guest list. We were then told that the only room that was available was the same back room that we had expressly told them we did not want. They stated that they had booked another event in the sunny room, and that that room was no longer available. I am quite certain that they were fully aware prior to two days before the date that another event had been booked, yet they chose to not disclose this information until they had assumed that we would have no other options. I contacted the manager in an attempt to remedy this situation. In short, she completely denied that this conversation had taken place with my mother, and told me that we had no other options available to us. (She then, later, did admit that this conversation had taken place, but tried to just make excuses like “Someone forgot to put it in the book…”) When I informed her that I would be posting this information on the web, she tersely replied ""Well, two can play at that game!"" So, in short, I guess that Trattoria Bella’s idea of customer service includes deception, denial, and threatening customers. More importantly, they made my mother cry, and I simply cannot tolerate that.
