My do got bitten by another dog. Needed less then one hour of the vets time to clean wound and put in 8 or 9 stiches. Vet told us it would be $800. I protested, she told us to go take the dog elsewhere, but it was so late in the day only the emergency vets would now be open. The vet told us that her price would be comparable to the emergency hospitals. What a comfort that was, not! She also old us the $800 would cove all meds and supplies. After we got home, we noted that the dog needed pain med, and a plastic collar to keep her from chewing on the stitches. The meds were another $30 and the special collar was $40 (I found the collar on the net for $3.00 !!!) Pros: The helps is friendly Cons: The vet is there only for the big bucks. Makes my lawyer seem cheap!
