I'm reading the reviews of other franchises, and apparently this is as close to a legit steak you can get outside of Philly. Instead of actually reviewing how great this place is, I'll simply tell a quick story. I remember trying this for the first time on a rainy day. I took the bag home, opened it up over my dinner table (family was out at work or school). The steam rose up, and my teeth bit into the cheesesteak. My first surprise was the supple, squishy bread that seemed to bend to your will. My second surprise was how hot the actual steak itself was. I wanted to cry, it was literally this good. Try it on a rainy day. They happen to have a whole bunch of things flown in from Philly including the roll (Amoroso using the famous Schuykill Water), WISE chips, Krimpets, Frank's, and other drinks to make anyone who's from Philly have a small taste of home. I normally have my steaks with provolone, but I've had it once with Whiz and can understand why Philadelphians like it so much, it's a nice balance. I prefer my provolone, though. As far as pricing, I've read from another user who considers it to be a bit on the pricy side, and I have to say, for the food you're getting, it is a bit pricy. The sandwiches are about $6 apiece, a canned Black Cherry Wishniak will run you a bit more than a dollar. Everything has a price, but for one of the greatest things known to man (including a quick-fix if you're in a hurry), it's a price I'm willing to pay. The slightly higher price seems justified in that they fly in their ingredients straight from Philly, so at least the price tag has some sort of point. If you don't mind a fattening cholestrol machine on a delicious Amoroso Roll every once in a while, check this one out for sure.
Pros: The best steak sandwich this side of the Mississippi
Cons: Not exactly cheap fast food (sometimes a good thing). If you're a value menu typesteer clear. If you're feeling adventurous and you have some cash to enjoy a meal but don't want to sit downtry this one.
