Inviting and inspiring from the moment you enter the gallery displaying works from local artists, and weave your way past the potter's work room, all the way through the garden and in to the gift shop, the ceramic paint room and beyond to the cozy comfortable cafe, coffee bar, ice cream shop.\r \r We discovered the Potter's Shed on a family vacation to Johnson Lake, Wisconsin. We ventured to The Potter's Shed to paint ceramics, but found so much more. Our group consisted of two adults and children from 3 to 16 years old - there was something for everyone. We went to paint ceramics but found so much more and stayed for 3 hours. In addition to painting, we also found a beautiful garden with water features, an artists gallery, a quaint gift shop, and a cafe to relax and have lunch.\r \r The people who work at The Potter's Shed make you feel at ease and welcome, it was obvious they enjoy what they do. I urge you to stop by to paint, have a snack, or support the local artists, or even enjoy live acoustic music offered on Friday and Saturday evenings.\r \r Our painted ceramics were glazed, fired, and shipped to us, expertly packed for a nominal fee. If there was a Potter's Shed by my home I'd frequent it often, to sit in the garden sipping my coffee, shop in the gallery or gift shop to find that special something.\r \r My only regret is that their web site doesn't do them justice. Make time on your next vacation to Wisconsin to visit The Potter's Shed at Shell Lake.\r Pros: More than just a place to paint ceramics, plenty of parking, good for a wide age group Cons: Just can't think of any
