Vegetarians like to eat too. \r
\r
In fact, vegetarians need to eat, to eat more than what the ordinary American ingests because vegetables by volume provide fewer kiloCalories. Many vegetarians are multi-sport athletes with robust calorie and nutritional needs. \r
\r
If you are a vegetarian who wants more than a large bowl of white rice with a sprinkling of beans lightly topped by a sprig of lettuce and a dash of cilantro, you will want to avoid this chain. Do not let them tempt you with the advert of Guacamole on the vegetarian dishes . . . if you find more than a tablespoon, you must realise the anomaly because on your next visit, you may see that the server must have just made a mistake in a rush when he / she gave you the advertised portion. \r
\r
After talking with numerous local managers and two district managers, we were not able to get the food assemblers to follow instructions in building vegetarian burritos in a bowl. From more than 100 visits over 6 months to various stores, including this store that failed 3 of 3 visits, we only had 12 occasions when the assemblers offered and completed the vegetarian bowl advertised and agreed by management. \r
\r
The food, if you can get them to plate it as advertised, is excellent without question, but eventually any customer will grow weary of being forced to ask multiple times for more than 2 tablespoons of vegetables while being met with derision from the assembly staff (who may very well have been trained to shortchange the vegetarian customer). \r
\r
We tried written and verbal communication having more than a dozen formal discussions with management, each time with them assuring us that they want the health-conscious demographic and vegetarian-athlete business. We repeatedly offered to pay the higher price of the meal dinner in order to get the advertised portion of vegetables. Let’s face it; the food is fresh and is cooked well in balanced spices. A nice portion of those vegetables is worth the higher price of the meat dinner. Each manager advised us that his / her staff would be happy to provide us a fair portion of vegetables at the vegetarian bowl price. \r
\r
More than one time, we left the discussion with the manager, got in line and had exactly the same shortchanging experience that then required another round of interventions before being able to eat. When you are promised one thing repeatedly and given another, the bait and switch becomes insensible. Eighty-seven failures (with guests / clients in tow many times) is more than enough evidence regardless of the excellent flavour profiles and ingredient pedigree. \r
\r
We have ceased using this restaurant chain that had so much potential and have guided our health-conscious clients to restaurants with more honesty and reliable execution.\r
Pros: Excellent Taste
Cons: ShortChange Vegetarians
