Review content:
I called Carolina Appliance Service on Wednesday and told them my refrigerator was not cooling and the freezer was barely working. The Technican came to my house on Friday, was there for 5 minutes and told me he was sorry, it could not be fixed, my compressor was out. I want to say that although it was NOT the Tech's fault he could not fix the problem, I felt like the $89.00 he charged for coming out (which was suppose to include labor, was a little excessive and considering there was NO labor). I had checked around with 2 other companies who only charged $59.00 to come out, but I thought it there was a problem, the additional labor price would be justified. I asked the Tech. if he had any coupons or discounts (especially since there was nothing to repair) and he said no. I called the office to explain the situation and felt like I was bothering the individual who answered the phone. He offered (with what seemed like reservation) to send me a $10.00 check in mail. I called him back and told him not to worry about it. My check cleared overnight with their company and I have definitely learned a valuable lesson. All I would say is Do Your Homework! Check around before you make a decision like I did. I just feel like given the situation we are all in today, and as many people there are looking for work, there could have been a better discount. I am very disappointed, but also blame myself for not putting as much effort into this as I should have. Pros: Technician was pleasant Cons: Would not recommend
