Review content:
I was born and raised in Honolulu and have lived in Portland for 12 years. I have generally high expectations of what Hawaiian food should taste like. After having mediocre food at quite a few of the Hawaiian restaurants in Portland, I was not expecting a whole lot from this little establishment, located all the way in Tualatin. To my surprise, the hamburger steak was excellent (tender, seasoned beef and very good gravy). The kahlua pork was also delicious. The mac salad was very good as well, and it all reminded me of home. This place knows how to season their food, and back in Hawaii, it is all about the flavor, and how tender the meat is. The only drawback is the location of this place. I live in Portland, but work near Tualatin, so I can go here on occasional weekdays for lunch, but takeout for the family and weekends are slightly challenging. Pros: Good, tasty food, authentic Hawaiian menu items. Cons: Location - too far from Portland
