Review content:
My previous neighborhood (which I still own property in) and current neighborhood are both managed by Talis. When I first bought in my current neighborhood, the HOA was managed by CAS. Because I had dealt with Talis before I was disappointed in the lack of communication and personal touch that CAS had to offer. I feel as a homeowner and owner of an investment property, that I'm always in the loop as far as maintenance and community events are concerned. This allows me ample time to contact my tenant on anything that affects them, but also gives me the opportunity to get involved in neighborhood activities. I trust Talis and feel they are actively involved in each and every community they serve. You don't realize how important a good property management company is until you are exposed to a bad one!\r \r In response to the other reviewers, it's ignorant for you to blame Talis for what your Board approves in your neighborhood. Instead of sitting on your butt and complaining, get involved on the Board and learn more about the roles of the HOA vs. the HOA management company. Also Talis's goal isn't to make the homeowners' lives hell. Instead they are there to make sure that all the things you enjoy (such as the pool, clubhouse, landscaping, etc) are preserved so that you may enjoy them year after year. If you don't like living in a regulated neighborhood then move. There are plenty of neighborhoods in the Triangle that do not have a HOA.
