Review content:
As a vegetarian, it's great to be able to go out for lunch and have something besides a green salad. As a fan of Indian food, I'm not terribly impressed by Vatica. In the year or so I've been a regular, I've gotten very bored with the rather bland, mushy food and lack of variety. Rice, soup, potato curry, dal, vegetable, bread and raita...it never changes. In addition, I've clearly been pegged as a two-thali customer. After the second refill I've literally continued to sit for an hour while conversing, and no additional refill has been offered. Since about 2 oz of each item is provided with each refill, and since this is often my main meal, it's really not worth the $12 to me. There are restaurants that I look forward to patronizing and restaurants that will do for an okay meal everyone can live with. This is definitely one of the latter.
Pros: Vegetarian, dependable
Cons: Mushy, bland food; slow service
