Dr. Delbert helped me through a really difficult time in my life when I had allowed a ""boy"" to come into my life and control me and my emotions. The relationship did nothing for my self esteem; and self worth. It drew me further away from God than what I've ever been. While I didn't take Dr. D's advice to break up with him at that point, she did help me through other issues in my life that I had been struggling with for years. Dr. D was not only my counselor but my friend. And I could tell that she truly cared for me and my situation.\r
I eventually DID end the relationship I mentioned because I allowed God to move in my life and speak to me. I was too hard hearted to see what Dr. D was telling me before, but now I understand and appreciate her with everything. She is still someone I know I can go to and learn from. She is an amazing counselor and friend.
