I work for a multi-billion dollar company and chose Corporate Express Inc. for transportation needs for our executives to travel from one city to another on business. The driver was apparently very tired, and ran off the edge of the lane, hitting the rumble strips at least 5 times and made sharp steering corrections several times. One of our executives noticed the driver taking pictures with his mobile phone of the scenery while driving the 16 passenger bus. He looked very sleepy and our CEO challenged him a number of times to pull over if he was tired, but he said no, he ?just got distracted?. It took about 4 hours to get to a location that was only 3 hours away. The driver did not leave after dropping off our passengers but stayed in the parking lot of the hotel to take a nap. He was unshaven, unkempt and completely unprofessional looking. The driver did not know where he was going, just tried to follow his GPS. When I mentioned this situation to the Manager, Vice President, and President of Corporate Express Inc. in an e-mail, I received a response from the address of the President but signed by the Manager, very leery. The response was not at all what I expected from a professional company, they simply excused it and said the driver said he wasn?t tired and the reason he kept swerving off the road is because he was paying attention to the GPS, which I might add does have audio which is meant to prevent the driver from having to take their eyes off of the road. There was no apology, no reprimand, no offer to correct the situation. Thank goodness our group arrived in one piece. I guarantee our company will NEVER use Corporate Express Inc. again and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!
