Review content:
We had an issue with this business that was unresolved. This is a one-person owned and operated business, and the owner, Steve Bjerke, was very unprofessional and unfair in his interactions with us.
June 2009 we requested a service visit from this spa repair person. He came out and changed a single setting on the spa and stated this would fix the problem, which was that the spa never turned off. After he left and after over nine hours of the spa continuously running, we called again to inquire why the spa was not shutting off. He indicated he would come out again. As it turned out, the spa required 12 hours to reset itself, but the repair person did not know this at the time. He charged us for two service visits, even though the second visit was a result of his lack of familiarity with a unit that he himself had selected, ordered and installed for us. We asked for an itemized invoice that showed we were charged for two visits. He refused to do so, claiming that he would charge any amount he saw fit and it did not necessarily relate to any specific period of time or quantity of work. Quote ""I should not be treated like some Sears repair person -- I'm a maverick and don't charge based on the line items you are requesting."" We felt the charges were unreasonable which was why we requested the itemized invoice to show what we were being charged for. Our letter requesting the
itemized invoice was returned to us with a threat handwritten on the letter which said only: ""None (sic) payment of balance due $90.00 will invalidate your warranty."" His behavior towards us was defensive, angry and belligerent.
Basically, he indicates that he does not like to be questioned at all for any reason. This is seen as ""giving him grief"", no matter how politely you ask for information. We would not recommend hiring this person as a result.
Cons: Behaves irrationally and angrily if questioned
