Review content:
After buying the dress of her dreams in Ohio, my fiance had her dress altered at Designing Brides. After 2 fittings(and $500 later!), she did not like the way the dress fit. The owner assured her that the alterations were made to the ""design of the dress"". How about the design of the person wearing the dress?? After taking the ""finished product"" to 2 other bridal shops, both pointed out the same neglected alterations needed. Suffice to say, my bride to be was crushed. With only 12 days until the wedding, we couldn't even reach anyone at Designing Brides for assistance (closed Sundays/Monday). While I understand the need to close the store for a couple days per week, it would seem prudent to me to have some sort of after hours emergency contact option. With time against her, my fiance took her dress to another seamstress for much needed alterations. Finally hearing back from the owner, she had nothing but excuses and offered no reasonable solution for remedying the situation. What a poor excuse for an ""upscale boutique"". Get a clue lady!
