Coming from a teacher that worked at this daycare for the summer and plans to return next summer I'd like to give insight to this daycare. First off, the owners, Rocky and Casey have never bullied myself, and I have never heard any of the teachers complaing about being bullied by them. They are pleasant and nice to be around when they come in to check up on the daycare. They do buy things to better the daycare, but that's why they buy them. To better the daycare, to give the kids an enviornment that is enjoyable to be in! As a student in early childhood education, children thrive in an enviornment that they feel comfortable and safe in, and I feel that the owners have done a good job of providing that. In regards to the changes to directors, it is unfortunate that they've had to change directors so much lately, but I can assure you that the current director, Dr. Sue Greenfield is more than qualified for what she's doing. She's been in the school system for a while, and she is concerned about the kids and following the rules to make the daycare safe and regulated for the kids. If you'd like to hear her qualifications, call the daycare and ask, she'd be more than happy to let you know. At her side is Christy who is one of the sweetest and most capable people to be assisting Dr. Sue with office work. All the kids and staff love Christy and she would do anyting for your children. As for the food, I have worked in the kitchen, and gloves ARE used, during the cooking and the serving. The food is kept hot/cold when appropriate and served promplty. They're given a meat, vegetable, and fruit and grains. They give out menus so that if a child does not want what's given or the parent wants their child to eat something else, they can send food with that child. I've worked and been in every classroom in the facility and all the teachers there love the kids and are dedicated to your child's development and learning. They have lesson plans that they turn in weekly that focus on the physical, socio-emotional, and cognitive development. They love and care for these children or else they wouldn't be allowed to work here. This daycare is striving to meet and go beyond DHS regulations and requirements to provide a first class quality child care for your child. I have first hand experience, and I personally love each and every child that came through those doors, and this daycare is one to take your children to.
