OWNERS/FACULTY:\r There is something very concerning about the owners of this facility. They don’t even have a background in childcare. They are brothers and they would often ""hang"" around the facility in suits looking very awkward and out of place. Trying very hard to SEEM pleasant/conversational yet it felt very forced. Rather fabricated/superficial.\r 3 directors in less than a year: Amber really cared about the children. Smiled and greeted them and families at the door - worked with them on homework - very involved and kind demeanor. Sudden change in behavior (short, not interactive, rushed) perhaps from abuse/ pressure from the owners then suddenly she was fired. \r Next director, Paige - same pattern as Amber: additional pressures or things going on behind the scenes. Obvious change in behavior from a parent that paying attention. A teacher (who is also no longer with this facility) advised that Paige was crying from the abuse. No surprise that the teacher who also cared very much about the children (while rather opinionated and probably too strong-willed for the owners' taste) was ALSO fired.\r Latest director - Jessica. Very young, inexperienced, and TACKY. Lots of attitude and snide remarks. Un-professional and loud: yelling across the facility at children or faculty instead of simply walking over and speaking in a natural/professional tone. She does not smile or greet children/parents. Come into her office and she may not even look up at you much less the children. Very reminiscent of a teen girl going through a phase of un-necessary attitude and frankly she may very well be a teen. Threatens children with scare tactics: ""If you don't behave I will call your parents."" I hope you have open dialogue with your child because you will never receive a phone call. If your child is injured or hit by another child you will never know. \r My child often came back with reports of how the staff would discuss their inappropriate personal lives over breakfast and lunch. A teacher's favorite song was 'Fly like a G6' (not the kind of music you want your child asking about b/c their teacher likes it) - all of which have nothing to do with what children have come to learn and accomplish.\r MENU/FOOD:\r Children at the facility are required to bring their own WATER if they want something to drink with their snack or after they have come inside from running/playing\r . I have never heard of such a thing as with-holding WATER from growing children at a daycare/learning facility.\r Food handlers & gloves - no need for gloves when the majority of the food served to the children is PACKAGED and PROCESSED (high fructose corn syrup/ saturated fat anyone?) \r - Sugar and calories-blueberry/banana nut muffins for breakfast (like at a truck stop or 7 Eleven).\r - PB&J sandwiches or microwavable chicken nuggets for lunch (so balanced and nutritious)\r - Snack - (more) packaged/processed chocolate brownies, cheese-its, or goldfish (juvenile diabetes? OK already sits at the top of many lists in regards to child obesity). \r - Ill-prepared staff they just order in MCDONALDS!!! (Super-Size me?) UNACCEPTABLE/OUTRAGEOUS!\r - The food sits out openly before it is served to the children. My child complained of the bread being ""hard and dry"" (hence stale from excessive air exposure).\r ***My child has never been sick so often than when he attended this facility. Eating habits changed at home - less willing to eat. The menu alone is a grave indication of how much they don’t care about the children and the families they service.\r Where does your $145.00 p/wk go (rate is for 1 child in PK)? A few flat screen TVs. Laminate wood flooring (well half of the floor was completed). No known investments in the children IE a water fountain, cook, experienced/caring staff. ALL VERY CONCERNING! Please share this information with anyone considering this place and think twice.
