Review content:
I discovered Superior Subaru Repair in 1997, when my '82 Subaru's transmission was getting funky (not synchronizing into 2nd gear, etc). I called a bunch of shops who said they'd be happy to put in another used 1982 transmission, but that they wouldn't be able to guarantee that it would be any better.\r \r When I called Steve, he told me that he could modify my car's the transmission mount to install a more durable '85-'89 model year transmission. Since the only way to ""test"" a used transmission is to install it in a car, he actually installed three before he settled on one that he liked, and the bill still came out lower than his estimate.\r \r I remained a regular customer there for the next 11 years, until my Subaru was damaged in a collision. Thanks to Steve's excellent care, my car still ran great after more than 300,000 miles. Pros: Low cost, friendly service, extremely competent, on the Metro 120 bus (every 15 minutes) Cons: Location isn't very close to Downtown Seattle (but the great bus line compensates somewhat in terms of convenience). No ""waiting area"" other than the office.
