Review content:
As a law intern I worked long hours and traveled so I trusted Sirius Spa to be responsible for my Golden Retriever, Berkley. Sadly, I discovered that they were unprofessional, irresponsible, negligent and cowardly. Against the Spa?s posted policy, they left the training collar on my dog and casually handed it to me in several pieces stating that Berkley had chewed it off of himself. Personally I have never seen anything other than an owl that is capable of that trick. I tried to call and discuss the incident with the manager and/or owner for several weeks only to have message after message ignored. After two weeks of leaving messages I was only able to reach the answering machine when I called. I wrote a letter to the Spa requesting that we talk about the incident like adults and professional people and this too was ignored. Admittedly, I have been stunned by this childish response to a client?s concerns, especially since I was calm and willing to come to a fair and reasonable resolution. It is obvious to me that the Spa was negligent in one of the following ways: Either: (1) They did not remove the collar according to Sirius Spa?s posted policy, (2) Berkley was unobserved for an extended period of time allowing him to chew a collar off of his own neck, (3) Berkley was unobserved for an extended period of time allowing another dog time to chew the collar off of Berkley?s neck, (4) The collar was removed and placed within reach of another dog that was unobserved for an extended period of time allowing it to chew the training collar into several pieces. Either way one chooses to explain this incident negligence is clearly evident. Sadly, this negligence is compounded by the Spa refusing to accept responsibility. I hope that as responsible and caring pet owners you will continue to seek care for your pets elsewhere.\r
