First, let me say that I have made several trips to this place through the last few years I've lived in the area. When I first started going, I thought their food was phenomenal. This surprised me because ever since I'd lived in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn right off of 18th Avenue, I've found pretty much any other area's pizza to be disappointing. I became a huge fan of their baked ziti. A few months later, I brought a friend out from the city to try their food and insisted that they were so good, they'd be on the same level as some of the more known brick-oven pizza joints in the city. (They'd drive hours out of their way for a good meal/restaurant) When we went, the sauce tasted different, he was disappointed, I was embarrassed. I don't know what changed, but it's not nearly as good as it was. This is, however, the best place I've been to on Long Island (I'm sure there are some I haven't checked out yet) and their salads are always fresh. The staff have been very friendly as well. They do not take cards, so coming in with cash is the smartest thing to do although they have an ATM available for use.
