Review content:
I live in the neighborhood and stopped in for a slice. What a treat! Instantly I was greeted by the warm, friendly owners, beaming with big smiles. I ordered two slices; one pepperoni and one (by recommendation) fresh corn and pepper. It takes a couple of minutes to get ready, so I hung out reading the paper and diggin' on the funky tunes. The space is clean, with lots of room to spread out and nice big tables. Nothing worse than minding your elbows when chowing on pizza! Lots of beer and wine choices, too. The deli case was full of salad temptations, all fresh and colorful, and a wide variety of cold drinks. When I went to pick up my hot slices, the pizza bubba told me that he threw in a slice of cheese pizza because the corn slice looked a little small. SCORE! \r \r I got home and literally made the ""yummy sound"" from the first bite to the last. The cornmeal crust is chewy and crisp, salty but a little sweet, and it's not so thick that the toppings are lost. The toppings perfectly complimented each other with a perfect balance. Sundried tomatoes with the mixed cheeses, fresh 'shrooms with the pepperoni, and the fresh corn with roasted red peppers and onions... like tasting an Iowa summer. \r \r I was really torn about sharing this new gem with the public, but I want them to stick around! Plus they sport a sweet location with easy parking. At five months pregnant, I have found a new craving! Pros: Flavor combos (which rotate), Clean and spacious, Lots of room to stretch out
