Review content:
In L.A. you might find some fancy variations of burgers that aren't bad, I'll admit, but some days a girl just wants a big wad of ground beef stuck between two halves of a bun, and a slab of cheese on top. No bleu cheese. No wheat bread, avocado, or sprouts. A regular cheeseburger, with not much else on it so one can appreciate what one's getting.
The burgers at Ramps are straightforward, and I mean that nicely. The meat is always cooked just the way I ask for which is medium: pink in the center, just barely cooked through at the ends, and slightly charred on the outside. The meat is juicy and holds together, but is loose enough so that you know it hasn't been frozen in patty-form before being slapped on the grill. It costs five something, including fries, and I highly recommend the thin onion rings.
Pros: Great Burgers, Good Food, Inexpensive
Cons: Awful Chinese Salad, Night Parking
