I had a very dissatisfying experience renting through Harrison Realty Group, and I would not recommend them to anybody. Judy puts little to no effort into making sure that the tenant is happy - all she cares about is getting her rent money. She is very uptight about the rental requirements - I asked her about getting a friend of mine added onto the lease because I was already guaranteeing the full amount of monthly rent, and she refused to have a conversation about it - she did not answer my phone calls or answer my respectfully worded emails. The house had a little problem with the vinyl siding falling off the chimney, and I had to follow up with her several times before it was finally fixed... a month later. She was very rude to me when answering any questions I had about the move-out process. She required me to have the house professionally cleaned by someone she knows personally, which costed me over $200, and I had to provide her with the receipt to prove it. She also required me to have the carpets professionally cleaned at my expense, and provide an invoice as proof. I asked if I could just thoroughly clean the house myself, and she rudely stated that per the rental contract, it was my responsibility to have the house & carpet professionally cleaned at my expense. All of my interactions with her were impersonal, rude and inconsiderate. She didn't care what I had to say, just referred me to the rental contract whenever I had a question or did something that was not to her liking. I paid every rent payment on time except for my last month of rent - I was waiting to see how much I owed her after the security deposit was partially refunded, so I didn't pay the entire month up front. I was not contacted about the missed payment, I simply got an automated email that my rent was overdue and that I owed a late fee of $59.75 I politely emailed them back and stated that I would not pay the late fee and that I was waiting to see how much I would owe before I made my final payment. Judy responded to this by calling me and leaving me a very RUDE voicemail, angrily stating that my rent was due on the last day of the month as discussed. I don't know how long Judy has been doing realty, but she strikes me as very inexperienced, unprofessional, and lacking in customer service. If you're looking to rent a property, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere than Harrison Realty.
