My Experience with LA Fitness\r \r \r I shopped around and found a fitness club that I was happy with, but then they sold out to LA Fitness or LA Fitness bought them out. I never received a call or letter welcoming my daughter and I to La fitness after they bought out my clubs memberships. I was notified by a sign on the front of my old gym. I went to La Fitness and they originally had no record of our membership. We had to prove that we where members of the gym they had bought out. They didn’t know how to separate my membership from my daughter’s membership because the original club put us both on 1 contract. After a very frustrating experience, I was told everything was taken care of. The put both last names on the membership and both phone numbers so we can check in without a problem. 9 months later. The operations manager was checking in people at the door she noticed a problem with my account. April of 2010, I was told everything was resolved. February 2011 now there’s a problem. She stated that she has been the manager since the transfer took place. She has never talked to me and has no notes in her computer. I also told her that I had brought people to the club to be members. She stated that nothing was on my account about referrals. Just so happens I was meeting my friend up there as well. When my friend arrived, she told the manager that I referred her. Still NOTHING. Not a Thank you or even a **** you. I am not sure how any of that works. But, seems to me like I should have been given a bird-dog or at least a Thank you. My friend asked what the problem was. Traci Querano (operations manager) 817-283-2115 told her that I had not been paying properly on my account. At this point. Insult to injury. I said ""Excuse me, this is not about not paying on my account"" She then told me that I was being asked to leave!!! Now, I am getting kicked out. I really have never been treated so poorly by a company. I asked her for a business card, she stated that she would be handling this matter. I am very disappointed in how I was treated and plan to spend a great deal of time expressing my frustrations.\r
