Three of us ate our Friday evening meal at newly opened Azucar. Seating is counter style in a corridor. Not very inspiring, but they?ve tried to enhance the aesthetics with interesting photos. The sandwiches are premade and then heated up panning style. The Cubano was the best of the three we tried although the arugula and serano ham are a nice pairing in the Berto. \r The Azucar plate of cured meats, cheese, olives, etc. is a nice appetiser plate and definitely sufficient for a few to nibble at. The most pleasant (and surprising) part of this was the guava jelly although the ginger spread ran a close second as a favorite. The crackers this was served with were disappointing, (served to us still in the plastic packaging like saltines), but the rest of the plate was tasty.\r Finally, and perhaps most importantly, dessert. Had this boxed up to consume at sunset down on the beach. Have to agree with others that the Mojito Cookie is fantastic. Texture is perfect (crunchy shell, chewy inside) and the flavor is very fun and unique. Diablo was also good (make sure to eat the different pieces together if possible). One draw back of coming at the end of the day was the lack of good cupcake options. The one that was available was a bit dry, but the icing was great. Pros: Friendly staff, yummy/pretty food Cons: dinning space
