Review content:
It was before Christmas time, and was searching for a Christmas present for my mother. I had walked by \r
Erin's Hallmark"" dozens of times, and asked my boyfriend to check it out with me. When I first entered the store I noticed a man behind the counter. I saw some angels-some in packages and some not in packages. I asked the man how much they were and he told me the angels were $20. I held on to the angel, undecided about my purchase because I concidered this angel to be another dust collector for my mother, and continued to browse. There were many over priced, outdated items to look at so my boyfriend and I had spent at least 20 minutes in the store. I decided that I did not want to pay twenty dollars for the angel and put it back exaclty where I found it. Upon leaving the store, a woman (who I had not seen when I entered the store) was blocking the doorway, making it impossible to leave. She asked me ""You did not want the angel"" and I said ""no I do not want to pay $20 for it"". The woman then looked at me, then my school bag, and then at my face. I now understood what this woman was incinuating. She was insinuating that I had stolen the not worth $20 angel!! She asked me open my bag, which I did and then it really hit me that I was actually concidedring buying from this store weeks ago, that day and this is how I am treated? I told the woman ""Shame on her"" because the last thing I am is a theif! This store sells lottery tickets and cigarettes which is a red flag because the Hallmark stores I've been in before this incident do not sell tobacco or lottery. Overall, my experience at this store was very disappoining and I will never return as a consumer. Unfortunatley, this store is located in a bad area, but its employees or owners shouldn't automatically assume everyone is shoplifting. I am an honest consumer.
Pros: the sign says Hallmark
Cons: This Hallmark sells tobacco and lottery=Red Flag
