I had my forth appointment at this place. It was my third appointment with Fatima for loc maintenance and rod styling. My first appointment with her for maintenance and a trim had gone well. \r I also had an appointment with the colorist, Nicole. I had been styled by Nicole before and found her less than professional and seemingly inconvenienced by my presence. Perhaps she was having a bad day, so I switched to Fatima rather than writing off the whole salon.\r For my appointments, I arrived at 5:00 PM for the color appointment. Nicole walked by me without a word and didn’t get started until after 6:00 PM. I finally got to Fatima’s chair at 8:00 PM. Fatima then informed me that she was about to leave, she didn’t know what time it was, and as a result of the late hour, she could not do a rod style because it would keep her there too late. She did a maintenance twist and large cornrows, not at all what I wanted. This is the second time Fatima has refused to do the style I requested. In my previous appointment with her, she told me that she couldn’t do rods because the front desk clerk didn’t put it on her schedule, and she didn’t have time. Mistakes happen, so I didn’t make a big deal of it in that first instance. However, the second time was inexcusable. Her attitude was not only unprofessional and arrogant. It was as if my being there was an inconvenience to her. She never apologized at all.\r I tried to tell the shampoo person/front desk clerk what happened when I went up front to pay, but when the phone rang, she answered it and would not hang up to speak to me further. I paid, leaving no tips, and left with my hair braided in cornrows (a style I never wear) and wet. It was 40 degrees outside and I’m 7 months pregnant. I was not happy and neither was my husband when he felt my wet locks. I don’t usually sit that long, but I made the appointment and prepared myself for the long wait under the drier because I thought I was getting rods. However, to sit from 5:00 PM until about 9:30 PM and not get what I had requested FOR THE SECOND TIME, was to me both unprofessional and unfair.\r It's not worth it. I'm done with Deeply Rooted. \r \r Pros: one good shampoo attendant, styles are attractive Cons: slow, arrogant and unfriendly stylist, poor customer service
