Review content:
I'm 33, self insured and have a heavy family history of breast cancer. Being that I'm 33, my insurance company will not cover a mammogram despite my families history. My Dr. urged e to get one even if I had to pay cash. I found West Hollywood Mammography online and saw that they offered $110 mammogram. It sounded like a deal so I made an appointment and went in After walking in, I should have known that I was in for trouble. I wont get in to how rude and unprofessional the all Russian staff is right now as the rest is much more important. I did my mammogram and a week later I got a call back. They told me that they saw something on the mammogram and that I needed to come back in for a more detailed one. I went back in and paid an additional $120 for the next set.
Another week goes by while I was out of the country for my birthday, I got another call from the office. I called them back the following week when I returned and they told me that I needed to call my Dr. and that I had to schedule a biopsy. There was something there and it needed immediate attention. Of course I was freaking out because of my family history, but I made the appointment through my Dr. at a ""real"" medical imagine facility in Santa Monica. I called West Hollywood Mammography and they assured me my films would be there before my appointment at 1:00 the following day. The SM facility called me the morning of my appointment and said that the films didn't arrive and that they couldn't proceed without them. I called West Hollywood and spoke to the Manager Tanya who is the MOST heartless, insensitive evil woman I have ever spoken to. I told her that my films weren't delivered as promised and she questioned why it took a week to call them back about the results. I told her I was out of the country and she said ""I guess you're not that worried about cancer then"". I told her that I was put of the country and asked what what that had to do with anything. They were supposed to drop off my films and they didn't. She said he was on his way and that the films should be there right at my appt at 1:00 . I got there at 1:00 and nothing. They had to either reschedule me or redo the mammogram. I just wanted to get it over with, I could bare another day of not knowing. I paid for MY THIRD mammogram in a month. They charged around $500 (mammogram and ultrasound), but it was well worth it. They did that mammogram and saw nothing! They did an ultra sound and saw NOTHING. I didn't have to do the biopsy because they couldn't find anything. After we were done, the films finally showed up 2 hours late. They explained to me that West Hollywood uses FILM and not DIGITAL. Their machines are very old and not accurate.
I called Tanya at West Hollywood to tell her that the films showed up after I was finished and that I had now paid around $750 for their mistake and that there was nothing on the mammogram-- I shouldn't have even needed the second one. She said that they
