Review content:
What's not to love about Cafe du Monde? Their beignets are addictive ( I order some while I'm there and some for the road, plus some for whoever asks me for them when they find out I'm going.....)! There's no such thing as too much powdered sugar as far as they're concerned, and I have a tendency to agree. I just make a point not to wear dark colors when I go... haha. But my favorite part is the coffee. I am a self proclaimed coffee expert, and I can tell you that they serve the best cup of chicory coffee in the world. It's a definite must-have for any coffee lover. Thank goodness they sell it, and their beignet mixes, for home also! Don't miss out on the local musicians and street performers that frequent the establishment. They truly add to the experience and the ambience of New Orleans.
Pros: Excellent eats for cheap!
Cons: Usually crowded.. if you're with a large group, it's best to order from the take-out window and sit on the planter boxes outside.
