When I first moved to OKC in 05 I had gone to a community cancer screening where I was advised to see a urologist about some lumps in my prostate. I immediately looked up a doctor in the phone book and scheduled an appointment. That doctor confirmed the bumps and declared I needed a biopsy immediately. Since the procedure was a surgical procedure that was going to cost me over $1600 I decided to seek a second opinion. I consulted a couple of surgical RN's I knew and they both said ""go see Dr. Danny Barnes."" I called to schedule an appointment and they worked me in within a couple of weeks. I found his staff to be caring and knowledgable. Dr. Barnes answered all my questions, since he also noticed the bumps, he ordered a sonogram of my prostate. His further testing, which was paid for 100% by my insurance, proved I didn't need the biopsy. He offered some conclusions as to why the other doctor failed to be thorough which eased my mind. I have been seeing him since and his professionalism and the care he shows his patients put him head and shoulders above any urologist I have seen. His team reflects his caring attitude and they work hard to make you feel at ease in a stressful situation.
