Review content:
We purchased a groupon to Bistro Catron, and decided to go on a Saturday night. They gave us bread and olive oil, but the bread was stale. We also ordered an appetizer of the corn fritters, and they were delicious. However, the corn fritters were about the only thing going for them. Husband ordered the lamb chops, and I ordered the seafood cannelloni. The lamb chops were tasty, but for the price they should have given larger portions and maybe even a dinner salad. The seafood cannelloni was terrible. It looked like a giant chipotle burrito covered with sauce. The shrimp were the size of m&m’s, and the other seafood bits tasted very old and fishy. Also, some of the seafood was unraveling, but we couldn’t figure out if it was the shrimp, crawfish or crab. There was nothing redeemable about the dish. On the plus side, our server was very nice and attentive. He noticed that I did not eat my dish and asked me if it tasted okay. I told him it was not very tasty, and he apologized. He also removed the charge from our ticket. I’m not sure if we will return, but definitely will stay away from the seafood cannelloni.
