Review content:
My husband and I made online reservations and requested outside seating (which I highly recommend! There was 2 hour wait for those who didn't make reservations!) We were escorted to our beautiful table for two overlooking the Genesee River and the Lake. BEAUTIFUL! We both commented that you forget that you are in Rochester! Our waiter greeted us right away, made a great wine suggestion, and offered us a meal strategy for getting the most out of our experience at Pier 45. We ordered the chicken salad with corn, black beans, and tortilla chip strips. He split the salad evenly (which, even after splitting was enough for a meal!!) My husband ordered the NY Strip and I had the Capellini Caprese. The portions were plentiful and the taste was DELICIOUS! I even had some of my husband's steak, which was done to perfection. Because the food was so good, we decided to splurge and split a dessert. We ordered the key lime chocolate meringue pie-- which we decided was our favorite dessert to date. We lingered over our wine and each course was served at the right time at the right temperature. We never felt rushed out and our waiter, Bart, was great! :o) I have two more meals out of the Capellini Caprese too, which makes the enjoyable experience that much better! Do not hesitate to go-- you get what you pay for-- and MORE!
