I called this Pasadena jewelry store to ask the price to change a watch battery and was told ""$7.50."" I went in, had the battery changed in about 15 seconds, gave him my credit card and was charged $8.50. I asked why it was $8.50 when he had told me $7.50 over the phone. He said ""Most watches are $7.50, and maybe if you used cash it would have been $7.50."" I said that I wished he had told me that before. He had never told me that MOST watches were $7.50 and had never given me the option of paying by cash to get the lower price. As I left he told me he was going bankrupt anyway, which isn't very surprising given my experience. I won't go back there.
