I have been a student of Sifu David Chang for a little over 9 months and I believe that my love and excitement for the art of Wushu is only strengthened by his patience and guidance. \r

Having studied Tae Kwon Do several years ago, I had a basic understanding of the discipline required to excel in martial arts. My previous teacher was strict and unforgiving, leaving little to no room for mistakes and would often give a look of disappointment to his students. With this being my only experience with martial arts, I believed that this type of instruction was normal; a standard in which all martial artists learn and perfect their art.

I found Wushu Central online searching for Kung Fu& +San Jose. I read his bio, looked at the photos of the students and gave him a call. From my first meeting with Sifu Chang, I could see that running Wushu Central was not just a business to him but Wushu was his passion. His instruction was patient, very descriptive, and he spoke with a tone that was neither strict nor aggressive (which I had become used to).\r

After studying under Sifu Chang for close to a year, I have had the opportunity to see him work with several different personalities and physical conditions. His instruction is tailored to match what you are looking to achieve. If you wish to become a champion competitor and Olympic athlete, he can take you there. If you are a woman looking for general self defense and quick techniques to remove yourself from a negative environment and potentially dangerous situation, he can teach you. If you are someone just looking to get out of the house or shed a few pounds, Sifu Chang tailors the instruction to each individual student. \r

There is not enough that I can say about Wushu Central and Sifu David Chang. Martial Arts are his passion and he understands how Wushu & Tai Chi relate to daily life and often explains how the fundamentals are applied to everyday situations. I am proud to be his student.
Pros: Weekly class size is small, allows for individual instruction.
