Review content:
This school's emphasis appears to focus more on fashion compliance than academic excellence. When my son was there, they didn't have resources to test him for dyslexia and it was his responsibility to tell the nurse or teacher when it was time to take his asthma medicine. However, they do have the resources to pay a lady with an electronic megaphone to roam the halls in the morning searching for offenders of their dress code policy (which is about as vague as a presidential platform). A child not in compliance is sent to the office, required to disrobe, and wear an article of clothing provided by the school. You would think they would send a note to the parent to advise them that their interpretation was incorrect, maybe a blurb about ""please don't send them to school in that outfit.""... but no.. you find out from your child who doesn't understand why they couldn't wear their own clothes. When you point out how demeaning the punishment is, the principal's response is that it's not discipline, just ""administration"", and the school district is aware of their disrobing policy. I don't have a problem with enforcement of rules consistently, but their policies result in an inherent and inconsistent application of their priorities. Find a different school, because it doesn't appear that a change is anywhere on the horizon.
Pros: Nice new building. Secure play area because they school is actually built around the playground.
Cons: Low respect for parent involvement or informing parents about what is going on with a child.
