Please take time to read this entire review. I'm going to be fair and honest about my experience. Wow two stars is equal to SORTA GOOD. I got to take that to mean a bunch BAD. Don't make mistake by taking in the other seven 5-star reviews to think it is really that good of a place. It gets the job done, if you are willing to go there after reading this. IF there was so many happy people they should have hundreds of reviews. Only four here + three there seems a little off. Only have been there once. No price posted that I was able to see. Did not look too hard. Was told $17 after the haircut and they expect a tip; for a haircut that was slightly better than the All-Star Barber College on Lorain in Cleveland's inner city. I gave my $20 because I was in a rush, but I will not return. These reviews are correct, it was a long wait. You can drink at the bar and eat some corned beef sandwiches. The food was a bad cut of beef, lots of fat that was expensive. Cold sandwich that you can heat up in the microwave. They purchase them from someone else so that is partly why it cost a little more. Instead of just having food there to give you something to do they are a middleman and double what they pay to make an easy profit. Sure they throw out a few from time to time. You can go to Joe's on Hilliard hand have a much better meal for the same price. Of the three barbers which one took a break with a ton of people waiting. That is fine if he had to go to the bathroom, but it did not appear to be that way. He was gone for a long time. He was the best of the three from my point of view. People wait to get their main barber, which makes everyone thrown off to who's next. They have a simple system, but it seems too complex for what is needed with the set up. He should have all quality barbers or just be the only one working. I honestly did not think his hair cuts were any better than the one who cut mine. I had the other guy who did an average job. Think everyone was trying to avoid him. They will talk about sending their kids to an all male Cleveland high school; which is a couple streets over from the barber college. Sure it is the best school and they do not mind getting the education there but want nothing to do with the area besides the Great Lakes Brewing Co or some trendy restaurant. Dont get me wrong, I was happy to see a different business than the old Motion Car Audio that was there before. Those people were great but their business was not needed. It attracted the wrong crowd. But people kept them in business for some time. Its funny so many people who can barely afford to send their kids to that HS. Here's some barber which does 2-3 hair cuts an hour making some big money in cash. You know not all of that income is claimed. How many parents out there bust their behinds to send their kids there and this guy has it easy. What you feel sorry for the guy? Because he is Irish? Go to West Park area and walk out for a haircut just as good for half the price. I am sure a good part of Cleveland is Irish. There has to be a handful of barbers over there. I can see if the guy spent a full hour on your hair. But it is a basic cut. In and out after a long wait.
