Businiess name:  Avalon Tea Room

Review content:
I have been to pretty much every place in Minnesota that serves tea and I love the Avalon tea room in White Bear Lake! If you are looking for a classic tea with cucumber sandwiches, scones and petite desserts served on a 3 tiered serving tray--Avalon has that! There tea selection is awesome! They have so many different black teas to choose from (French Carmel Creme Brulee anyone?) as well as some herbal, green and other types of tea. The food is always creative and delicious and I swear they must change it up all the time (I usually go there once every 4-6 weeks) and it's different every time. I'm sorry the previous reviewer had a bad experience there but I've had just the opposite. The servers have always been friendly and helpful. I've seen many well behaved little girls in tea rooms over the years and that includes at the Avalon. Tea rooms aren't Chuck E Cheese. If you are looking for a place to let your kids run around screaming, then yeah, a tea room isn't for you. But if you want to give your little girls a wonderful experience, while teaching them good manners and how to act like a little lady, then yes, they will love the tea experience!
