Review content:
I've used My Pet's Vet Clinic for the last year and a half to take care of my dog's routine vet care. I had never been too impressed by them but went ahead and used them because it was so close to my house. However, I've recently decided never to use them again for a few reasons. First, they don't take appointments, and I've had to wait for over an hour to have my dog seen on three separate occasions. Secondly, I see a different vet every time I go. Third and most important, it's obvious that their primary focus is making money rather than caring for animals. Every time I went in to have my dog seen by them, they would try to pressure me to have my dog re-vaccinated for rabies even though it was not time. He had been given a three year vaccine in Austin two years ago, and even though I gave them the record of it, they always pestered me about it. And most recently, they refused to sell me any more heartworm prevention medication because it was a year since my dog's last complete physical. I had stopped in on my way home from work (without my dog) because I had run out of heartworm medication. I expected to be able to at least pick up one pill to tide him over until I could next get him in for an annual checkup. The receptionist, after checking with someone in the back, refused to sell me even one pill. She had pulled my file and could have easily seen that I am a regular visitor to the vet's office and that they had seen my dog just three months ago. I was not a customer who would just take the heartworm pills and vanish without having my dog seen. But they didn't seem to care about the health of my dog or their customer's convenience and refused to sell it to me. And they even had the gall to tell me that when I did bring in my dog for his exam, he would have to get another heartworm test, which means that I have to pay more money. This is in despite of the fact that I bought a year's supply of hw medication from them last year! So very annoying.
Pros: cheap
Cons: Poor customer service
