Review content:
I'm editing my review, as the owner called us back.\r
\r
We took a car in to get a transmission service. We explained the car will be driven to CA and needs to be serviced. The car was driven out of town the next day where it broke down and there was no Aamco near us, so it was taken to a dealership. We learned our transmission fluid was overfilled by 6qtz and we had to pay a few hundred dollars out of our pocket to get it repaired. When we called Aamco about the problem, Aamco said they will have the manager call us back. We called back and we're given the same answer. We still hadn't heard anything a week and a half later until the manager finally called us back (and maybe a coincidence, but after we posted a review on here). He told us that he was on vacation and thats why no call was received. We understand mistakes are made, but we have a family mechanic who looks after our cars but was unable to get to it right away so we took it to Aamco thinking a transmission service would be ok. \r
\r
Again, mistakes are made but we are lucky that our car broke down and that it didn't catch on fire, 6 qtz overfill is HUGE. Our biggest concern, was that no one was put in charge while the manager was apparantly out of town. No one told us he was out of town and no one followed up to tell us it could be a week before he called us back. So, for that we rate Aamco 1 star. I am ONLY giving them 2 stars because he finally called us back.\r
\r
The owner DID call us back, he apologized and refunded the service and for that we give Aamco the extra star. He did read our review online, so wether he read it after the fact or before, reviews are important and we appreciate them resolving the issue so we updated our review.\r
\r
Aamco offered to look at our car again and we are still having issues with them saying they did not make the problem and the dealership we took the car to when it broke down failed at determinign the correct problem and they did not overfill our oil, etc... I will not recommend Aamco, everyone deserves a chance, but we took ours and although they attempted to resolve our problem, we will make sure to continue to take our car to our trusted family membe, We recommend you stay clear and find a business with more of a consistent rating.
