It's time for another comment about Hooked on Colfax. Hooked on Colfax has a good team of talented baristas - both in their coffee skills and their friendly service. The place is adorable, and you can tell by the patrons that it's their ""neighborhood place."" It's been in the Bluebird district of East Colfax for 5 years. It's got it together. I'm an espresso snob, and worse, a latte snob - most every espresso, americano and latte I've had there are perfectly satisfying. They serve as much local product as possible and this includes the goods from Pablo's Coffee (local roaster). They have a good selection of wine and local beer (that they sell by the bottle and glass - and for cheaper than anywhere else near by). I'm into it. I'm also into the spicey green chili burrito (just sayin'). The night scene isn't as busy as the daytime, and I'm not sure why... maybe the lighting? What's good about it though is that there isn't blaring BLARING music like the other local bars. Sometimes the baristas play off-color music at weird times of day... but that's the only jab I'd take! Hooked, I'm hooked.
