Review content:
Unless you are dying to feel like you are in a 1960s army hospital unit...DO NOT GO! Where to begin...I was told to expect me first appointment to take 2 hours, because Dr. Kelly is so thourough with new patients. When I got to my appointment, I sat in a 1960's/retro style waiting room by myself for an hour. No other patients came in or out. I was later told that it is ""normal"" to wait an hour for your first visit so they can check insurance. After an hour, I was taken back through a weird hallway that housed hospital beds and very old medical equipment. Dr. Kelly came in shortly after. She asked a lot of odd questions, and made some comments that felt less than appropriate. Truthfully, she was very nice, but about 65/70 years old. Here is my major complaint: The office staff coded my visit as a mental health issue. Because she is a PCP, my insurance kicked the claim back. The office refused to re-code and re-submit and said my insurance was being weird. I have UHC and have never had them kick anything back before or since. 6 months later, I was out 140$ cash. To add insult to injury, I was charged the billed rate (rather than the negotiated insurance rate). Find anyone else in Allen!
Pros: it was close
Cons: an awful lot
