Review content:
I've dined at Leila's several times and the food is consistantly\r
excellent - all around the table. However, the word is out and Zagout \r
plaques are all over the walls. My last experience is one of wait, wait\r
and than wait some more. One now has to WAIT 3 weeks to get Saturday\r
night reservations, WAIT 20 mins to get seated, and my last experience \r
is to WAIT 1hr 20 min for food to be served. When I complained to the\r
owner that we had 7:30 reservations and it was after 9:00 and dinners\r
were not yet served; he arrogantly asserted that we were not seated\r
until 7:45! No excuses made! By the way, the kitchen is in view and\r
was fully staffed with busy professional chefs; not a case of staff out sick.\r
I think that they may be over booking. Quality has not yet suffered, but \r
it's no longer for me. I'll check out the competition.
Pros: Food still excellent.
Cons: No longer a great dining experience.
