The Pizza Shack in Lamoni IA is simply put, the best pizza you will ever eat! The little family owned restaurant has put the small Iowa town on the map and everyone who visits once is for sure coming back. The atmosphere is family friendly in every way and you will most likely always get a chance to say hello to the locals who eat at the Pizza Shack on a daily basis. You know the show ""Cheers""...well Pizza Shack is the ""pizza restaurant"" version. And the owners are there daily adding a personal touch. The menu continues to grow and expand. The items are mostly named for the owners' family members and employees. The pizza is freshly made every time ordered, no pre-made and store bought canned sauce for this place. Feel free to experiment with your toppings....sour kraut and candian bacon is one of my favorites! And dont forget the Shack sticks...a speciality made cheesy bread sticks like you've never had before. Prices are perfect for the small town environment. You can try pizza anywhere and you wont find any better!!! A must try! Lamoni Ia is convinently located off I-35 about two hours north of Kansas City and/or 1 hour south of Des Moines Ia.
Pros: Great service, wonderful food, fun family environment, small town friendly environment
Cons: you may want to call in your order before you come, located in small iowa town....if we lived closer we'd eat there every day (and have in the past!)
