Review content:
I took quite a few high-end clothes to consign here. One of the items was a beautiful St. John's ladies 3 piece knit jacket with coordinating skirt and pants that were all in excellent condition - absolutely like new and only 2 years old. Supposedly 3 different items sold within a couple weeks: the St. John outfit, a blazer, and a blouse. Karen gave me $19 for these 3 outfits, which included the St. John! She said that the St. John sold for $20 (and she keeps 50% of that). She said that that is all she can get in depressed Port Huron (and yet some very basic blazers have a $20 price on them which is what she supposedly listed the St. John for - and those very basic blazers are a tiny tiny tiny fraction of the value of a +$1000 St. John. PLUS I found my mink jacket that I had I left previously with her, hanging in a display location at the leading edge of a rack. There was no ID tag and no price on the mink. I pointed out that there is no ID tag, and she said that she was testing the market for price and also that she didn't need to have a tag to know who brought it in. Excuse me, but there are quite a few vintage minks there plus clothes jammed on all of the racks - so how can she remember who owns what! Plus she admitted earlier that her mother works there sometimes and can get the record keeping mixed up. This place ripped me off - big time! I'm still fuming about the St. John. Take your clothes out of Port Huron to a nice consignment place, unless you don't mind being lied to and ripped off.
