Review content:
After living in Austin for almost a year, I have tried many of the plentiful sushi restaurants here. Mikado is the best I've had so far. Although I find Umi and Sushi Sake both great, I felt Mikado surpassed them. My boyfriend and I went in one day for lunch and sat at the sushi bar. The chefs were very friendly and offered to pick a few things out for us if we needed them to do so. We ordered several rolls and a few pieces of shashimi. The pieces of shashimi were sliced then and not very thick like they are at Umi and Sushi Sake and when eating raw fish, I feel than thin is better. The rolls were fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is also great. A great new sushi restaurant for Austin to enjoy!
Pros: sushi chefs, food
