Review content:
I needed to find out what was wrong with my car as we were going away for the holiday weekend. I called a couple of automotive companies that stated they were too busy to look at my car that day. I found this company's information on the AAA web site and tried them as well. I spoke to Gilbert and explained that my the engine was racing and making a clicking noise when I pressed on the gas pedal. He said that I could bring it in that day and he would look at it for me. When I arrived to his shop I was taken back by the cleanliness and how organized everything seemed to be, not typical for an automotive shop. He took my keys and said he would call me in a couple of hours after checking out the vehicele. Sure enough two hours later he called and explained to me in detail that I had a cracked exhaust manifold which was causing the problems I was having. He also suggested I replace the serpentine belt that was cracked and worn. He did state that with 90k miles on the vehicle that this was not totally surprising as he has seen this before. Based on his explanation I felt comfortable with him doing the work that he felt was needed. He said he would have the work completed that afternoon and would call me when finished. Late afternoon Gil called and said he was done with the work and that I could pick up the vehicle. When I arrived Gil showed me the manifold that was broke in half and explained in detail what work he had performed. I was very satisfied with his explanation and the whole experience even though the bill was almost $1,000.00.
