Review content:
Maspeth Town Hall has a known reputation but I'm sorry to say this reputation is false and made up to cover how things truly work. As an employee, if you are not on the inside there or spend a lot of money to help them out they will drop you when it suits them. As a parent I would be worried about what goes on when I am not around. Not all children are treated equally or cared for equally.
Their afterschool sites are often lacking in supplies and resources and maintain rules that truly do not help better children's education. And even thought the program is free as a parent you better make sure you can afford to take full part in their fundraisers or they will badger you and talk poorly about you behind your back.Their summer camp is so so. They do repetitive activities and do not always make the wisest choices when it comes to scheduling and planning trips and activities.
Their staff is also questionable. Not all staff hired prove to be good roles models for the children. Other staff are more interested in each other than their jobs and overlook their purpose of being there to take care of the children.
Many of those who run the company have proven to be fake and only act like they truly care about the children and staff.
There are many other good afterschool and summer programs and I would seriously take a look at those options before enrolling in programing at Maspeth Town Hall.
