Review content:
I used Riverview Hospital because I had real emergency. Hospitals are not for use of a doctor. My first trip to Riverview was a great experience, they rushed me back to a room and started all procedures that would be done for a heart attack. The emergency room doctor gave me options on what I wanted to do, I had an input. I choose what would work the best for my family. I had follow up instructions from the ER doctor, which I did. The follow up caused me several more trips to Riverview and yes I am like all I don't have good insurance either, but my life is more important than a medical bill. What I love about Riverview, when you get your bill they give you the option to pay the entire bill at a discount price or pay payments on total amount owed. \r
If you all think Riverview is bad, try going to Community in Anderson. Now that is a real Death Hospital and they are out for your money. When you go to the emergency room their they alway want to put you in the Hospital. The ER doctors guess what is wrong with you and they always want to give you pain pills. Don't dare tell them you have an exsisting medical condition because that is what the ER doctor will say is wrong with you.\r
Bottom line is, every hospital in Indiana has faults and every hospital in Indiana charges to much. Use a hospital as a place for emergency's not as a doctor and always follow up with your family doctor. Don't forget the family doctor will want several test also, so if you get sick make sure you have at least 3 to 4 thousand to pay the medical bills even if you do have insurance. \r
I want all to know, I am like most people, I live pay check to pay check and have no money in the savings. Medical bills are not in my budget so I have the attitude, if they don't like my payment then sue me. I make monthly payments and yes I do argue with the billing department because they want more than what my budget allows. I do cut back on food and luxury items to make sure they get at least 50.00 a month just incase they do want to sue me. I haven't been sued yet but keep records incase they do try, at least I can show I am trying to make a effort to pay my bill.\r
