Review content:
While visiting the gravesite of my mother on a Sunday afternoon, the entrance gate was locked leaving us inside the locked enclosure. Calling the number that was posted stating ""hours 9:00am to Dusk"" gave us an answering machine with no other response. We finally resorted in calling the Forest Grove police department who came and unlocked the gate so we could leave. We were fortunate to have a cell phone.\r
\r
This is a beautiful well-kept, peaceful place, but the site management leaves much to be desired. One would think that with a sign posted at the entrance gate stating the hours ""9:00am to Dusk"" someone would check the grounds for persons and/or vehicles before locking the gate, especially at 4:10p.m. Which is about an hour before dusk.\r
\r
I can only imagine what might of happened if we did not have a cell phone to call for help. We would have been waiting behind a locked gate all night, inside the cemetery grounds, in a pickup, until the next morning when someone finally came to open up.\r
\r
Subsequent calls on the following Monday, to the number posted, gave us an answering machine with, again, no other response. \r
